PAX Tools App

This newsletter contains information, a short overview of each Tool, how to download and set up the App, helpful tips and reminders.

PAX Tools:  Shared Vision

Shared Vision is used to create and communicate common expectations.  Use this Tool for activities that in the past have proven to be difficult for you child meeting expectations.

PAX Tools:  Low Emotion Response

Low Emotional Responses extinguish undesirable behaviors without giving them the payoff of a lot of attention. Low Emotional cues shift the attention from undesirable behaviors to desirable behaviors, helping children to learn to do more of that behavior!

PAX Tool:  Beat the Timer:

Beat the Timer is used to break tasks into smaller chunks helping to limit distractions and stay on task to successfully complete each task in the desired time allotted.

PAX Tool:  Random Sticks

Random Sticks help reduce the feelings of things being “unfair” or adults playing favorites.  Random sticks are a great way to help give children control while still ensuring that the tasks that need completed are taken care of and expectations are met.

PAX Tool:  Mystery Motivator

Mystery Motivators help increase the motivation to complete tasks and meet expectations.  Mystery Motivators focus on non-tangible rewards aimed to increase motivation and provide feedback on meeting expectations.

PAX Tool:  Kudo Notes

Kudos notes are written letters of appreciation written to acknowledge effort and appreciation for meeting expectations, completing tasks, and acts of kindness.
