The Forest Grove School District is pleased to announce that Amy Harlow has been selected to serve as the Interim Principal of Harvey Clarke Elementary School for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year. Ms. Harlow will be filling the vacancy left by Pete Moshinsky, who has accepted a new position in another school district. Mr. Moshinsky will be leaving the district on March 4, 2022. Pete has been the principal at Harvey Clarke for eight years and has done great work in leading students and staff. We wish Pete the best in his new endeavor.
Ms. Harlow has worked in the Forest Grove School District for 22 years. Shehas worked for three years as a library assistant at Forest Grove High School, four years as a library assistant at Fern Hill, 12 years as a reading specialist and ELD teacher and three years as a Dean of Students at Joseph Gale Elementary.
When asked her feelings on her new position, Amy said, “I am excited for this opportunity, and honored to be chosen to support Harvey Clarke staff, students, and families during this transition.”
Ms. Harlow earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Oregon State College in Secondary Education with an endorsement of Advanced Math, her Master in Education with a focus on Reading Intervention from Pacific University, ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) endorsement from Lewis and Clark College and her School Administration Endorsement from Concordia University.
Beginning in March, the district will conduct a comprehensive search process for a new principal for the 2022-2023 school year. We anticipate this will be a highly sought after position.

El Distrito Escolar de Forest Grove se complace en anunciar que Amy Harlow ha sido seleccionada para servir como Directora Interina de la Escuela Primaria Harvey Clarke por el resto del año escolar 2021-2022.
